EUD4XR empowers users to create XR content without requiring programming skills. It offers an authoring tool and a conversational agent to assist end-users in designing interactive XR experiences. The project accommodates a wide range of roles, from professional developers to non-technical creators, and has been validated across various domains, including virtual museums, smart homes, and training scenarios. It is funded by the Italian Ministry for University and Research and the European Commission (Next-Generation EU).

The SERENI research project aims to develop a new solution using serious games with humanoid robots to stimulate cognitive and social abilities in older adults.

The PNRR Large Scale Accessibility Monitoring project, a collaboration between AgID and CNR-ISTI, aims to improve the accessibility of Italian Public Administration websites. The project supports the evolution of the MAUVE++ platform, providing a free system for automatic accessibility verification in line with national and European regulations (such as the Web Accessibility Directive).

MAUVE++ automatically crawls and analyzes up to 200 pages per website, checking compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. Several large-scale validations have already been carried out in June 2022, December 2022, and then every three months in 2023, 2024, and the first half of 2025, with 4,500,000 web pages evaluated in each monitoring. The results support systematic improvements in digital accessibility for public sector websites.

Marginalising people with disabilities is a critical and problematic issue, especially today, where access to information should be equally available to all. The EU-funded WADcher project will address the challenges people with disabilities face when accessing online products and services. While these challenges have been identified (EC’s Web Accessibility Directive, WAD, 2016), they have not yet been addressed efficiently. In this context, and building on ongoing tools, WADcher will research, develop and demonstrate a set of innovative frameworks for large-scale accessibility assessment of WAD compliance by implementing monitoring, reporting and enforcement procedures of WAD in the European public sector. WADcher will minimise costs and development time while increasing scalability, accessibility, and usability for all stakeholders.

The objective of the PETAL (PErsonalizable assisTive Ambient monitoring and Lighting) Project is to provide a platform able to increase elderly autonomy and assist them in carrying out activities of daily living. In particular, we aim to support older adults affected by mild dementia with useful and usable means to increase their awareness and control of their current lifestyle by providing them with relevant and tailored information in an intuitive and natural manner.

The PersonAAL project aims at extending the time older people can autonomously live in their home environment. This will be achieved by providing intelligent and intuitive web applications enabling users to receive personalized and context-dependent assistance directly in their homes, so as to increase their awareness and the control of lifestyle, improve quality of life and decrease healthcare delivery cost.
